A small group of individuals staged a protest yesterday at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Their beef is with a planned parking lot addition to the campus. After an initial encounter with campus security where the protesters "scurried up the redwoods", another protest was mustered and clashed again with security. Begrudgingly, I have to agree with the protesters on this one. We need smaller universities, and books with fewer words... and forests with fewer redwoods.***UPDATE***
